Microgreens Soil Based Home Kit
This Microgreens Home Kit includes supplies and instructions to grow microgreens in soil. Some seeds are easy to grow hydroponically (broccoli, cabbage, kohlrabi, kale, mustard, etc…) while other seeds will do much better in soil (sunflower, pea, cilantro, etc…). This microgreens kit includes everything you need to get started with soil which is the perfect method for all microgreens. You can be harvesting your own delicious and nutritious microgreens in seven to ten days.
Each Microgreens Home Kit Includes:
2 – 9”x 6 ½” Growing Trays with drain holes – These heavy duty re-usable trays are used in combination with the bottom trays.
2 – 9”x 6 ½” Growing Trays without drain holes.
Made in the UK, theses Injection Molded trays are made from high quality recycled plastics. They are dishwasher safe and will easily last for 10 years or more.
1- Humidity Dome
4 – “Minute Soil” Coco Coir pucks- Enough to grow 4 trays of microgreens. Extra soil is available.
Spray Bottle – For the first 4 days, your germinating microgreens should be misted. This spray bottle is the perfect tool.
Assortment of Microgreens Seeds – You select 4 seed packs from the following list:
Basic Salad Mix – The perfect blend of microgreen seeds: Broccoli, Kale, Kohlrabi, Arugula, & Red Acre Cabbage.
Spicy Salad Mix – Same as the basic salad mix, but with some added southern giant mustard for additional color and spice.
Arugula – A strong peppery flavor, slightly buttery, and cabbage-like.
Broccoli – Makes an excellent microgreen as it is one of the easiest crops to grow. It has a delicious mild, fresh cabbage flavor and makes a great addition to any microgreen salad or garnish.
Buckwheat – A citrus-like flavor with tarty and tangy undertones.
Red Acre Cabbage – One of our favorites. Great tasting, colorful and easy to grow.
Kale – A mildly sweet and nutty microgreen, the Super-Super Food
Oriental Mustard – A rather sharp flavor that brings a great zing to sandwiches and salads. The flavor is astounding and strong—tastes just like wasabi!
Snow Pea –Fresh, sweet, and crunchy (tastes just like snow pea pods)
Green Pea – The tendrils add a unique texture while the stems have the same familiar crunch and sweet flavor of full-grown peas.
Radish – Sharp tasting, a great addition to any microgreen salad. Add to traditional salads instead of sliced radish for an exciting change.
Sunflower – Crunchy, nutty, and a perfect base for any microgreen salad.
